Homework Machine Part 2

I have written about the Homework Machine before but it was a poem here is the link: Older Homework Machine Blog Post. I have a new part of the homework machine let me show you...There is a new feature i have installed a macbook to it so now it blogs for you too!!! Isn't it amazing?!?! This was a much needed feature. Now I no longer need to blog isn't this great?!?! Mr. Jay will be so proud of me. I have not done any homework over break so far besides Language Arts blogging stuff!

New York

My parents are going to be in New York between the 26th through the 29th. There are gone for four days. Half of Saturday, all of Sunday, all of Monday, and half of Tuesday. My grandparents are going to be watching us while my parents are in New York.  I really wanted to got its them to New York but they didn't have enough tickets or stuff like that. My mom won the plane tickets, hotel room, and all of the passes through a donation raffle thing at her work.

MacBook

For Christmas I got a ton of stuff! My family got a Macbook from Santa this year, i'm really kind of mad because I wanted one for myself and only me. I don't like that my parents won't let me bring it to school either. I got a ton of other cool stuff to. I didn't get a dog this year. I have been asking for one every year since my dog died and once again I am disappointed. I mean SIX YEARS and no dog... COME ON!!! I am very disappointed on who decides what i get for christmas because a dog is always at the top of my list.

CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!

I cant wait for Christmas what so ever. Tomorrow is the last day of school for the whole entire year! Christmas is one of my favorite holidays...not just because of presents but also because I get to be with my family that lives in Michigan (Lake view, Ortonville, Birmingham), Illinois (Chicago), and Ohio(Cincinnati and a few other cities).  A few thing on my Christmas list are a DOG 'cause I really want one:) A MacBook which I'm pretty sure my grandparents are getting me! I also want a new phone case.

T.H.I.N.K

Mrs. Howe asked us to answer her question in class, her question was "What does T.H.I.N.K stand for?" This is what I found on the inter-web! T.H.I.N.K  stands for thoughtful, honest, intelligent, necessary, kind. Mrs. Howe also told us its somewhere in the school but I have now clue where it is. I am guessing it is somewhere in the library, main hallway, or the front hallway(near the hallway.

Writing Review

             I am proud of my at home writing because it improves my writing technique and skills. AHW keeps my writing habit up. Lately I have been adding more detail to my stories and I think that is because I have been doing a lot of at home writing!

             I have improved so much on my in class writing. I have added so much more detail and have been working on my dialogue. I really have improved on my writing skills.

           I am working on dialogue for my AHW. I have been working really hard and have improved a lot. I haven't been focusing that much on to much other part of TADD. I think I need to try to make longer stories when I blog.

          My areas for in class writing improvement also happen to be dialogue. I need help with figuring out  how to find a heart of my story. I would also want help with my finding the heart of the story so I can expand that part more.

Homework...

I love not having homework. The only days I don't have homework is when I have 5/6 study for choice hour. I wouldn't  have homework a lot more if it wasn't for goodreads and blogging. Surprisingly this isn't normally the worst homework I have to do... math sucks, I absoluty hate it. There is no point of learning how to divide decimals when we are never going to need it, same with long division... what's the point of that??? My favorite subject is science, I rarely get homework and if I do its super easy. Except for the homework on the weekends that's is sometimes really long and boring.

Grape shooter

It was a plain afternoon, and me and my brother were doing homework. I was eating grapes and I started stuffing one after one into my mouth. Then my brother started squeezing them out of my mouth. One went all the way across the kitchen! I was like the human grape catapult thingy. As my brother would say grape shooter. Then my brother called himself a ghost and put a white blanket over him self and said "sup bro" and was running around everywhere.

Sunday

Sunday is today and I am quite board and loaded with homework and other random things to do.

• First I have Science homework, I have to color and label a poster.
• Second I have to upload my Thanksgiving video to YouTube, that's language arts.
• Third I have to Practice my viola. My orchestra teacher also wants us to preform for our parents on thanksgiving but its no longer thanksgiving so I have to do it today.
• Fourth surprisingly no math homework but I need to study for a test.
• Fifth I need to check for Spanish homework and study for a test on tuesday.

I would say that's it but I need to play some game with my sister so I count that as home work. My parents are also going to probably tell me to do something later on so.... we will see!!!

Thanksgiving Day 2015

Happy thanksgiving! I am on my way to my uncles house right now. My sister is sleeping, my brother is playing on his iPod. My parents are talking and I am blogging. I think we are almost at his house but I will finish this off... We had a good time at the parade I was freezing

I had a really fun thanksgiving my cousin had a guine pig, Fin, he is really cute and sassy. Cally is their dog, she is so nice and playful, Cally is a golden doodle. Also their the bird my uncles family owns is Winston he is a parrecet, he looks really cool.

Thursday

Change of plans on the hole pilgrim hat thing for thanksgiving dessert. Instead we...well... I am planing on making rice crispy treats, then cutting a turkey shape out with a cookie cutter. After that is done I will make some details with frosting and "glue" candy corns on as feathers with frosting. Then I will let them dry. I will probably also make the pilgrim hats to go along with them or I will just choose one to make.

We are going to downtown Detroit to see my mom in the turkey trot. Then and 1:30pm we will be back at my house, then at 3:00pm we will leave for my Uncle Jason's house. At my uncles house my moms side of the family will be there and maybe some of my dads but I'm not sure. 

Wednesday

Tomorrow we are going to the parade in Detroit then home. We are going to get ready to go to my uncles house. Then we will come home whenever. Today so far I have made the dessert. I ended up making rice crispier treats because they didn't have the ingredients for the other stuff. My mom and I also went grocery shopping and it was really crowded. I'm really mad because I couldn't find what I wanted. But whatever

Tuesday

Saturday

On Saturday I went to a school were girls who don't have a home live. My mom and a few friends played a game with them. I was the photographer. The thing my mom was doing is part of a work project. The girls I met there either went through abuse or had Some sort of loss in their family. The girls loved having us there we also left a present for them the girls age range was 10-17. I had an interesting time there. It was at Vista something.

Today

This morning my mom ended up dropping my brother of so I stayed home with my sister. It's also a half day today which is good. After school I'm going to my friends house then at 4:30 we are going to dance together. I am talking ballet, jazz, and tap today. I have a long day today because dance ends at 7:45 then I'm going to school and wile my parents are at conferences and I have to deal with my sister the hole time.

I have to go into school tomorrow (Wednesday). My brother is signing up for ski club and I half to go in early with him. I'm not signing up because I am doing stuff on Tuesday nights already. We have to come at 7:00am and I have to leave my house at 6:45am. Normally I wake up at 6:20 to leave at 7:45 but now I probably have to wake up at 6:00.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is when you get together with your family and eat turkey. This year we are going to my Uncle Jason's house. It's on my moms side of the family. I always make dessert no matter ware we go. This year I'm making pilgrim hats! They are super good as long as you make them the day of thanksgiving which is not hard at all, they take like an hour to make. I am also planing on making turkey(shaped) sugar cookies, but I'm not positive it will happen. I can't wait to go to my uncle Jason's house because he has a ton of pets and I love seeing them. I cant wait to eat turkey to!

Songs

The Hills and Hotline Bling are my two favorite songs right now! The hills is a song that I like more for dancing. Hotline bling is a more of a singing song. Although you might want to do the clean version. I also love the song kill 'em With Kindness. It's by Selena Gomez. It's real good and I like the lyrics and rhythm to it. I am listening to wildest dreams by Taylor swift right now and it's a really good song to. I like the tempo to it.

Christmas Countdown

Christmas is in forty three days I think. Alex and I started making a Christmas countdown in our planners. We have started at one with Christmas and the forty six which was Monday! I am so excited for Christmas one because I get presents two I get to see all of my family that lives in Ohio. I really enjoy seeing all of my family and cousins. Normally my cousins and I make a ten minute movie of some sort, at my aunt Debby's house. Then around five we drive to the Dubas house open presents talk and play hide and seek with all of the three year olds! Then we dive back to Michigan and see my other relitand get like three presents

Alaska

In Alaska, we discovered how it felt to be in 40 degrees below 0. Me and my two cousins were in a group of three. Madison, Christopher, and I walked into the room with our big fur coats on and heard the door slam behind us. we had no idea of what to do until Christopher spit in the air and caught the frozen droplet of saliva. i thought it was disgusting but he’s a boy so I didn’t really care. then we saw a bench made out of ice cubes, we went to it and sat on it. It froze my pants and left them ice cold. (108)

After we got out of the ice cold room we got a cup of hot chocolate. Even though it was 89 degrees outside we were still freezing from the ice room. it was my siblings and parents turn to go in. We went to a little shop, where they sold magnets and key chains that said ‘40 DEGREES BELOW 0’. I got a keychain that says Ketchikan Alaska on it it was a transparent plastic look to it. my sister got a manet it’s the usual for her. she was holding a bag with five magnets in it when we got to the tour bus.

Reflections

I've been working hard on my reflections this year, mainly because last year I learned how big the winning prize was. They got IPads, kindles, etc... So I wanted mine to be perfect. I also decided that I would submit a few so I would heave a better chance. I think the topic is interesting because everyone will take there own spin on it. I think that I won't get first place but will be proud of my work!!! I have worked hard on two so far and am sketching the third, can't wait to see what happens next!

Weekend

I love the weekend, it's almost here! I wish school was two days and the weekend was five days. The weekend is used for many things, family time a vacation or shopping! Yes school is education and you need to learn things but life still wouldn't be bad with three weekends and four weekdays.  I know you we would probably still be in collage when we are fourty if we had two days of school each week. I guess it's good how it is right now.

Dentist

I was scared to go to the dentist a few days after Halloween but I was perfectly fine! No cavities, no x-rays, no nothin'. I was really happy! My sister was happy too, she had a really wiggly tooth and they pulled it out for her. It was her first tooth. I still have to loose three teeth before the orthodontist knows if I need braces or a retainer, etc... I'm not sure about my brother Pierce thou because I left for dance before he went into get his teeth checked on! All and all no cavities for anyone!!!

There is this girl named Maya not sure where she goes to school but I met her on a cruise ship. Everything goes her way if she had a bloody nose it would stop within seconds. She would get more attention than a cat wearing a fishbowl sitting on a cow! Maya is also mean she will brag that she won when she lost a game of prison dodgeball. In my defense she kicked me in the shin because I got I scream before her, maybe that was because I was in front of her. It's called a LINE people! Like seriously it wasn't like line up at day care it was like a store where you paid for it. She was in this super annoying daycare thing that I had to go to with my sister she was really nice around my cousins and siblings but she dispised me!

Halloween

Halloween was so much fun! I got a ton of candy and got a big bruise on my upper right knee. This one girl tripped me then took some of my candy, then she stepped on my hand and my bag. It was really mean. Besides that I had a ton of fun. I really wish that my Donald trump kin worked out thou. I carved my pumpkin gave it hair, and it looked like Donald trump. So I said I'm done with my Donald trumpkin!!! Here is a picture of it.

Halloween

I love Halloween it's when you can eat candy, get together with friends, have party's, trick or treat, and eat more candy...i love CANDY, it's my favorite part about Halloween! It's also nice to hang out with your friends at party's!!! My friends and I are being things from dr sues. There are five of us, I'm thing three. Mahlahs 1, Ellie's 2, I'm 3, Alex is 4, and last but not least Sophia is 5!!! 

Soccer (continued)

Alex was injured what would the team do? Would they play without Alex or just not play at all? The girls had a lot of questions. They asked coach Grace what to do she simply replied "FIND another teammate". The team was looking for someone to play with them but they didn't know who. GRACE(fitch) she was perfect once they told Grace she said sure. 

After Alex's foot was healed the team put Alex back and Grace wanted to be a mascot, so she was. Grace was the mascot for the Pigs she was a pig. Grace got to pick out the mascot.

Soccer

Once apron a time there was a little girl named Alex. She loved soccer, one of her friends was the goaly Colette, Mahlah was offense with Ellie, and Sophia was defense with Alex. Grace was the coach. Grace had an idea, she wanted to get the team of girls into the big leagues. Grace told her team what she had thought, the girls thought it was a great idea. Then one day befor during practice Alex broke her foot, she couldn't walk or even kick a ball with her foot. the team was very disappointed with Richard Chalk, during practice Richard had chucked a baseball at her foot so she couldn't play soccer any more. Richard was the boys soccer coach!........TO BE CONTINUED...........

Unicorns

Unicorns are majestic creatures that are often called 'fake'. I don't think unicorns are real i just hate it when your older brother crushes your five year old dreams and says that unicorns are fake. Obliviously there fake but I think there real...Unicorns are basically horses with spikes on there head. There a mix between a horse and rhinoceros. They put a baby horse and a baby rhino in a play pen and they started to play then made a unicorn out of paper mache.

Dance Rectial

On Sunday I had a dance recital it was really cool. I was with all of my friends and I had so much fun on stage. After I was finished I got to watch all of the professionals preform. Some of there dances were funny and some were graceful. I also got to eat cake because it was there  25th anniversary. My mom took me to Starbucks after the show as a good job token!

And then there were none

Agatha Christene wrote a book called And Then There Were None (also published as Ten Little Indians). I think that once you get to page 60 it gets a lot better. Its kind of boring up intel then.  The librarian at my school Mrs Trusedel recommended the book to my friend and I Mahlah. I am on page 53 right now and I am working up. At the beginning of the book it's kind of confusing but then again every one has there own preferences.

Elephants!

Habitat loss is one of the main threats to elephants.  Climate change makes portions of elephants’ habitat will become significantly hotter and drier. The climate change puts calfs and adult elephants at risk of dying. Another threat is human populations taking over more and more elephant habitat. Today I was thinking about inspiration and motivation when I got home when I was thinking about what to write about for AHW. Inspiration is something that moves you or makes you think of something especially creative or something you never thought of before. Or , I got this from the dictionary: the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially to do something creative.

Wedding

I went to a wedding over the week end. It was so much fun!!! I was the junior bridesmaid. I wore a plum dress it is really pretty. I also got my hair done. I had the best time in the world on Saturday. I am so sad that the week end is over, and that I'm not still partying...

I was at my cottage with my family and my cousin. As my cousin,dog and I were walking down the bluff, I stepped on a wasp(we were not wearing shoes.). I shreked and fell on my dog then my dog ran down to the lake. My cousin then jumped back surprised and stepped on to two wasps then we saw a hive and jumped into a canoe that was a few feet away from us. then my mom saw us and helped us up and brought us our cabin. later that day we went back down to the bluff and found a broken wasp hive on the ground.

Rouge River

Today we went to the rouge river. I was in group 12. We started at the chemical station, then went to benthic, and then physical. We did a lot.  No one else wanted to do anything so i had to do all of the work. i was annoying because all everyone else wanted to do was go in the water.

I'm not posting this blog post till my trip is over, also because I have no wifi while cruising, yet I will not have time to do it at port!!

Detroit-Seattle, Seattle- Anchorage( plane flights):

I am on a plane right now going to Anchorage, AK ✈️ it's so boring... We have eaten and gotten back on the plane I'm still bored and thinking about going to sleep, I don't want to at the same time though.

Anchorage:

Anchorage is super cool so far. If its 4:00pm in Michigan then it's 1:00pm in Alaska. I am starving and we are boarding a motor coach to go to the Princess Cruise Ship.

Juneau:

Alaska is super fun I have done so much I have a million pictures and other objects!!! We also went whale watching witch was super fun!

Bored

i don't know what to right about. So I decided to write about what I do when! Normally I start off by looking around and seeing if there's anything to do, if not then I doodle or do something else. Lately I have been reading a really good book called the fourteenth goldfish. It is really good and I enjoy reading it.

The Homework Machine

 

The homework machine, oh the homework machine. Most perfect contraption ever seen. Just put in your homework and drop in a dime. Snap on the switch, and in seconds time your homework come out quick and clean. there it is, the homework machine!!!

 

 

Pumpkins

Today something came in the mail with my name on it. It was a pumpkin! It is a black pumpkin with a gold stem and the bottom half is gold. It is a really cool looking pumpkin. The struggles were there was a box inside of a box inside of a box. The last box was really hard to open. Right now the pumpkin is sitting on my dresser in my room.

Dinner Conversation

Today at dinner Natalie started talking about a playground at her school. She goes to the elementary school I went to. I chimed in like always and started talking about how I loved the pink playground and the "tornado" swing thing. It was an interesting conversation. Then I finished dinner put my plate in the dishwasher, then started homework.

Today

I went to the Birmingham farmers market last year, like we do every weekend. But this is what happend one year. They have the best donuts in the world there. It was really cold when we were there. We also got some gourds and aples. I also got to get some flowers for my room. When we got home I ate my donut and put my flowers in my room.

Alask: Sled Dogs, Puppies, 40 Degrees Below, and Gold Panning

We went to a sled dog facility. While we were there we got to meet the dogs as well as there puppies! I am holding a puppy named Shelow.

Then we experienced what it was like in 40 degrees below zero, I had on a giant fluffy coat and we were only aloud in the room for five minutes so I was not cold.

Next we went gold panning I got some gold...

Alaska: Theaters, Whales, & Hot Choclate

 Welcome to the princess theater where sixteen performances are held each day. with over 1,000 seats this is the biggest theater on the ship!!!

Alaska: Birthdays & Icecream

When we were on the cruise we celebrated four Birthdays and one anniversary, this is a picture of my grandma holding her cake! I REALLY WANT

I really want a dog, every loving child needs one! Yes, I am still a kid when I want to be one and all grown up if I choose to. But still everyone needs a partner in crime, and NO siblings can not be a sideklck. I want something small and furry to jumb on me, it cannot be a rodent of any sort... but I guess a bunny would'nt be that bad.

Rouge river

Me and my sister were crossing a river around our house. On our street there is a secret trail to get to Booth  Park. It was really fun! We crossed the river then walked around and goy a ton of scrapes on our legs.

CORN DOGS!!!!!

My cousin made a song about corndogs. We went to a restaurant in Florida and he ordered a corndog! He started to sing a song about it and I decided to record it. (more Florida adventures to come!!)

Monday

New choice hours. I am so bored I have 5/6 study right now it is so boring. I have an after school activity and a ton of other things to do after school. I don't like this choice hour today this is the only homework I have.

In Florida we ate the ribs right off of the bone! this is me and my friend Sasha eating them. We each ate four. My Uncle Bob (Robert) is in the background a bit too.

Racoon

I saw a raccoon out my window while I was doing homework!

Fishing

We went fishing over the break in Florida and we caught three baby bonnet heads. We also caught a lot of small fish like whiting, mullet, and pompano. It was really fun.

Crabs

"Agh" my friend Sofie said

"What" I said

"I stepped on a crab" she said in a disintegrated tone. What I found strange was that we were in the pool not the ocean. I peered where she was standing beside her foot was a dead crab. I took a long net used for getting things out of the pool. I scooped it up and threw it over the fence and into the sand. Later when I was in the outdoor shower washing of the salt from my body I saw a crab claw and jumped. My sisters friend came over and started to laugh. She had token a claw from the crab in the pool and put it in the shower.

Beach

We had a lot of fun on the beach. We found a ton of pieces
of sand dollars $ on the beach. We decided to buy a ton of inner tubes and go out really far in the ocean. Early in the morning we would walk on the beach during high tide and see dolphins.

Florida

Florida was so much fun! We were on st. George Island. We invited three other family's to join us. My cousins, and two other family friends. All of the girls shared a room. Along with a room right next store which was the boys room. The house had three levels the first had a outdoor shower with a pool and the second had all of the bedrooms. The top floor had the living room a bathroom and the kitchen.

I worked on my picture plans. I have over 30 pictures. I finished putting my pictures in.

Wonder

The book Wonder by R.J. Palacio is about a boy who faces many challenges in the fifth grade. What I learned from the book Wonder is that you should never judge people from how they look. The book is from the perspective of many challenging people in his life,along with the boy. He has a disordered face. His name is  August Pullman, but his friends call him Auggie for short. Auggie is a boy with a disordered face. In the story he is in the fifth and  sixth grade. Fifth grade is when he gets bullied the most. A lot of Auggie's  friends try to help ‘protect’ him so he does not get bullied as much as he normally would. He did get picked on in the beginning of the story thou. August's face is what makes him, him. He's normal on the inside but on the outside he is one of a kind. Auggie has an unordinary face. As I said earlier never judge anything by  what it looks like.

              Throughout the story August was judged by his face. Just his face. No one really knew how smart and talented he was until they started to hang out with him. The other students just knew him as some awkward looking psycho with a weird looking face. But not Summer. Summer thought August was really nice and thoughtful. Summer is the same way, she's a really nice girl, although she does not have a disordered face. Depending on how you look at it Summer is someone who just wants to make friends with someone who feels out of place. But not Julian, who just thinks August is just a big joke, and has some sort of 'cheese touch' kind of the thing. Lots of rumors started to spread thru out the story, to make fun of August. 'Its not enough to be friendly, you have to be a friend'

Also in the story, during fifth grade camp August and Jack went into the woods to go to the bathroom  during the movie. Then they ran into four seven and eighth graders. They tried to beat up Auggie, Jack, and a few other kids named Amos, Henry, and Miles. The eighth graders began making fun of Auggie and calling Auggie names like '"What
happened to your face?" "Hey guys I didn't know we were watching lord of the rings... look guys its  Gollum'”. Then Amos, Jack, Henry, and Miles stood up and started fighting back, for Auggie. They started fighting back and protecting Auggie.

By the end of the story Auggie was treated with more and more respect. He got a Henry Ward Beecher medal  for being an extraordinary  person, and helping himself fit in. As Mr.Tushman was introducing the medal he was explaining how well Auggie was working and interacting with others. For Example '"strength was carried with the most hearts throughout this year"'. This shows that Auggie gained his strength to use for others, he interacts with, as well as teachers and students.

Now as I think about it, you should never judge anything by its looks. Don't judge anyone by
their face or what they wear. In the book Wonder I learned that everyone is different and equal, but all extraordinary in different ways. I think that Auggie and other people like him should be treated more equally, like a normal but different kid. My cousin is just like Auggie. She has a deformed face, we get along together well, after a while you just get used to what they look like. So never ever judge someone by who they are.
