Wonder
The book Wonder by R.J. Palacio is about a boy who faces many challenges in the fifth grade. What I learned from the book Wonder is that you should never judge people from how they look. The book is from the perspective of many challenging people in his life, along with the boy. He has a disordered face. His name is August Pullman, but his friends call him Auggie for short. Auggie is a boy with a disordered face. In the story he is in the fifth and sixth grade. Fifth grade is when he gets bullied the most. A lot of Auggie's friends try to help ‘protect’ him so he does not get bullied as much as he normally would. He did get picked on in the beginning of the story thou. August's face is what makes him, him. He's normal on the inside but on the outside he is one of a kind. Auggie has an unordinary face. As I said earlier never judge anything by what it looks like.
Throughout the story August was judged by his face. Just his face. No one really knew how smart and talented he was until they started to hang out with him. The other students just knew him as some awkward looking psycho with a weird looking face. But not Summer. Summer thought August was really nice and thoughtful. Summer is the same way, she's a really nice girl, although she does not have a disordered face. Depending on how you look at it Summer is someone who just wants to make friends with someone who feels out of place. But not Julian, who just thinks August is just a big joke, and has some sort of 'cheese touch' kind of the thing. Lots of rumors started to spread thru out the story, to make fun of August. 'Its not enough to be friendly, you have to be a friend'
Also in the story, during fifth grade camp August and Jack went into the woods to go to the bathroom during the movie. Then they ran into four seven and eighth graders. They tried to beat up Auggie, Jack, and a few other kids named Amos, Henry, and Miles. The eighth graders began making fun of Auggie and calling Auggie names like '"What
happened to your face?" "Hey guys I didn't know we were watching lord of the rings... look guys its Gollum'”. Then Amos, Jack, Henry, and Miles stood up and started fighting back, for Auggie. They started fighting back and protecting Auggie.
By the end of the story Auggie was treated with more and more respect. He got a Henry Ward Beecher medal for being an extraordinary person, and helping himself fit in. As Mr.Tushman was introducing the medal he was explaining how well Auggie was working and interacting with others. For Example '"strength was carried with the most hearts throughout this year"'. This shows that Auggie gained his strength to use for others, he interacts with, as well as teachers and students.
Now as I think about it, you should never judge anything by its looks. Don't judge anyone by
their face or what they wear. In the book Wonder I learned that everyone is different and equal, but all extraordinary in different ways. I think that Auggie and other people like him should be treated more equally, like a normal but different kid. My cousin is just like Auggie. She has a deformed face, we get along together well, after a while you just get used to what they look like. So never ever judge someone by who they are.

FISH
My sisters fish had died recently, I felt bad for her. the fish had lived for a little over ten years. When we were cleaning out the tank we noticed that whiskers (a bred to be small catfish) had died. She had a really good relation ship with that fish. She rescued it from a mud puddle. We took it into the pet store and it had a damaged flipper, he told us that these fish are common in ponds and they are very commonly thrown into pond, lakes, etc.. because of a long life span.

Trees
Why do trees have leaves and branches only on the top of there trunk? My dad said so the leaves can get the nutrients (food) from the sun. Then use photosynthesis, and use the nutrients. Maybe its so the trunk stays together and doesn't fall apart. I agree with my dad even thou some trees have leaves on the bottom, but they are cone shaped so the snow/rain easily falls off, but those trees are for more harsh weather. do bushes have a trunk? I still agree with my dad thou.

Conferences
I had conferences today. It was good, my parents (and sister) got to learn about what I did or am doing at school. We got to know what math class I got into, and how much the teachers like to talk about their stidents. Mrs. Roberts and Miller both like how muck I pay attention in class. Mr. Joseph likes to know how my reading habit has been doing.

I dare you to read this and post a comment of what you think
HOMEWORK is so annoying, I wish one day of a week we would get a day off. I think that we all need a day to relax are catch up on something. I Think we all need some free time. When kids don't do home work, principals don't have to call parents, teachers don't have to grade tests and janitors don't have to clean halls of empty garbage cans. We can do after school activities without having to worry about homework afterwards, we can do other important things in life like spend time with our family's. Us as students also have a LIFE out side of school.

Humane society
We went to the humane society today, we went for sciences lit. We got a small tour, a lot of questions awnserd. We also got to see a new room for birds and rabbits and guinea pigs and animals like that. We also got to meet some of the animals. Like a bunny cat and dog! The manager took us into a little gated corner where we got to see a cat, the a co-worker came into let us see a bunny. Then we saw all of the dogs, a few were going in or coming out of surgery. We met a puppy named York. He was so cute, they let us bring him into a little room to check him out.

Wonder why I am waving my wonder book
The book Wonder by R.J. Palacio is about a boy who faces many challenges in (school)the fifth grade. What I learned from the book Wonder is that you should never judge people from how they look. (Someone with a disability) The book is from the perspective of many challenging people in his life, (a lot of people) along with the boy. He has a disordered face. His name is August Pullman, but his friends (kids with a boy that has a disorderd face)call him Auggie for short. Auggie is a boy with a disordered face. In the story he is in the fifth and (a boy in 6 and 5 grade) sixth grade. Fifth grade is when he gets bullied the (someone getting bullied)most. A lot of Auggie's friends try to help (friends)‘protect’ him so he does not get(bully) bullied as much as he normally would. He did get picked on in the beginning of the story thou.(someone doing makeup) August's face is what makes him, him. He's normal on the inside but on the outside he is one of a kind. Auggie has an unordinary (Face)face. As I said earlier never judge anything by what it looks like.
Throughout the story August was judged by his face. Just his face. No one really knew how smart (nerd)and talented he was until they started to (someone dancing) hang out with (hamok)him. The other students(students) just knew him as some awkward looking psycho (a psycho) with a weird looking face. But not (sun)Summer. Summer (a pretty girl)thought August was really nice and thoughtful. Summer is the same way, she's a really nice girl, although she does not have a disordered face. Depending on how you look at it Summer is someone who just wants to make friends (friends)with someone who feels out of place. Also in the story, during fifth grade camp August and Jack went into the woods to go to the bathroom (toilet) during the movie(TV). Then they ran into four seven and eighth(older kids) graders. They tried to beat up Auggie, Jack, and a few other kids(beaten up kids) named Amos, Henry, and Miles. The eighth graders began making fun of Auggie and calling Auggie names like '"What
happened to your face?" "Hey guys I didn't know we were watching lord of the (lord of the rings) rings... look guys its (Gollum) Gollum'”. Then Amos, Jack, Henry, and Miles stood up and started fighting back, for Auggie. They started fighting back and (shield) protecting Auggie.
By the end of the story Auggie was treated with more and more respect. He got a Henry Ward Beecher medal(trophy) for being an extraordinary person, and helping himself fit in. As Mr.Tushman was introducing the medal he was explaining how (guy at a potum)well Auggie was working and interacting with others. For Example '"strength was carried with the most hearts throughout this year"'. This shows that Auggie gained his strength (guy with big mussels) to use for others, he interacts with, as well as teachers and (school) students.
Now as I think about it, you should never judge (judge) anything by its looks. Don't judge anyone by
their face or (fashion model) what they wear. In the book Wonder I learned that everyone is (groups of people) different and equal, but all extraordinary in different ways. I think that Auggie and other
people like him (guy on a wheelchair) should be treated more equally, like (flower)a normal but different kid. My cousin is just like Auggie. She has a deformed face, we get along (weel chair)together well, after a while you just get (two people hugging)used to what they look like. So never ever judge someone by who they (A ton of people)are.
